In partnership with Vernon Hills and Libertyville Township of Lake County, Semper Fi Land Inc. played a key role in restoring a heavily large stream and lake restoration within urbanized watershed. Focused on sediment removal and long-term water quality protection all performed under Section 404 regulatory oversight. Native seeding and interseeding were completed with defined establishment standards to support ecological recovery and long-term performance.
Project scope included:
- Stream & lake excavation
- Inchannel sediment removal
- Sediment trap construction
- Streambank stabilization utilizing riprap systems
- Cofferdams and bypass pumping to maintain dry construction zones
All work was completed within active public recreation areas while maintaining pedestrian, bicycle, and traffic routing. The project demonstrates expertise delivering complex restoration work under strict regulatory, environmental and schedule constraints.
