Semper Fi Land Inc. supported the City of Oakbrook Terrace on the Spring Road Tributary Restoration Project, stabilizing eroded streambanks and improving aquatic and riparian habitat within a highly constrained urban residential corridor. The project addressed chronic erosion and infrastructure conflicts while maintaining flood conveyance and protecting adjacent properties.'
Project Scope Included:
- Boulder toe protection
- Tucked stone and riprap installation
- Coir logs for streambank stabilization
- Cofferdams and bypass pumping to maintain dry work conditions
The project reduces sediment loading, improves habitat quality, and protects surrounding neighborhoods, demonstrating effective delivery of urban stream restoration under complex regulatory and physical constraints.
