Semper Fi was contracted by the Forest Preserve District of Will County to carry out a comprehensive project at Hammel Woods Forest Preserve in Shorewood, Illinois, focused on the DuPage River. The project scope included the removal of a low-head dam and a concrete overlook, enhancement of riverbank stability, the construction of a canoe/kayak boat launch, and the installation of native seeds to promote ecological restoration. Key tasks involved:
